So the show on Saturday morning was something of a dress rehearsal for the designer. An upbeat sneak peek for the audience as to the direction Oliveira Baptista will be taking his future French team designs. And if what showed up on the runway is any indication, the Frenchies are going to be some of the most stylish athletes on the track.

Like most people of his generation, 31-year-old Alexander Wang has chosen to communicate on social media.
On the morning of his Saturday evening Spring/Summer 2016 show at New York fashion week, the US designer posted an image on Instagram that asked followers if they wanted to press the reset button, “to start over”. If the 12,000 likes are anything to go by, the answer was a resounding “yes”.
It was not only the 10th anniversary of the designer’s eponymous label, but the first since the July announcement that he was leaving as creative director of the Paris fashion house Balenciaga.

On 11 September 75 models have presented the Givenchy black and white collection Spring/Summer 2016 with the skyline in the background of the new World Trade Center and paraded to the sound of a Buddhist monk in honor of 911.
Among the true stars who were all on time were invited Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman and Amanda Seygried, the rapper Nicki Minaj, the Alexander Wang, Michael Kors and Vera Wang designers. 800 members of the public had been drawn to attend at the outdoor show as well as over 200 fashion school students.
The guests were seated on wooden pallets sometimes installed in small constructions open on the sky, made of recycled wood and rusty metal sheets, built for the occasion on Pier 26, a huge pier on the Hudson, south of Manhattan. Last Wednesday Apple announced a partnership with French luxury leather goods manufacturer Hermès and launches a Hermès leather strap for the Apple Watch.
“Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design,” said Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design officer in a press release. “Both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. The first time I have seen “Shoes: Pleasure and Pain at the Victoria and Albert Museum (which runs until 31st January 2016) I left shaking my head at the apparently chaotic jumble of footwear crammed into a small-ish boudoir of an area; followed by a much bigger space upstairs devoted to people with no particular taste but an obsession in collecting smart shoes or endless pairs of sneakers.
The first pair is by Vivienne Westwood, made famous by a fall: Naomi Campbell tumbled on the catwalk when wearing them back in 1993. After returning from a vacation, Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet tendered her resignation from the online fashion retailer ahead of a planned merger with Italian rival Yoox. According to someone, she leaves with more than 100 million pounds ($153 million) after selling shares in Net-a-Porter. Massenet and Yoox declined to provide an immediate comment.
Yoox agreed to buy Net-a-Porter from Cie. Financiere Richemont SA in March. The all-stock deal, which is expected to close this month, will create the world’s largest online luxury-goods retailer. We wonder why such companies employ qualified people and ask students to do their jobs. Maybe those communication Managers are not paid enough to fulfill their job and it is a way to claim for a better salary. besides those groups try to make us believe that they invest 100% of their benefits in France. In fact, the sad reality it is that they employ stagiaires to do the jobs to avoid recruiting qualified employees.

French luxury goods maker Hermès posted a 20 percent rise in first-half operating income in line with expectations, helped by strong tourist demand in Japan, the United States and Europe.
The brand known for its silk scarves and Birkin bags costing several thousand euros reiterated on Friday that its operating margin for the full year would be lower than in 2014 due to currency fluctuations.
As expected, Hermès kept its medium-term goal of increasing annual sales at constant exchange rates by 8 percent.
