The women are not wearing Ferragamo Vara pumps’ with their distinctive bows, or toting Vuitton subtly monogrammed handbags. Continue reading

ALEX’TRAORDINAIRY MABILLE

MABILLEAlexis Mabille fights against the downgrading of Haute Couture by capturing the Haute Couture and claims to represent the vanguard. Alexis is in a radically stitching process.

Instead of increasing desire in artificially organising the rareness at a time where reproduction has become normal, Alexis chooses to inundate the market in manufacturing Haute Couture.

His freedom in creation is also due to his family team who avoids him to fight with internal conflicts and enables him to focus on his work. Each season, he goes higher and higher and touched our heart as his talent blows up.

FRANCK SORBIER

SORBIER10Franck Sorbier is not just Fashion, it is a performance of art. Many dancers swirled to a hypnotic drum at the Guimet Museum of Asian art.
Taking its inspiration from Rodin’s sand colours of the Khmer dancers, The King and I, an exhibition on 2,000 years of Asian theatre, and an ancient legend about a shepherd falling in love with a star, it presents an exotic, romantic fairy-tale.

The named ‘Celestial’ Lovers reworks the age-old story of a princess and a pauper, using a variety of styles to show the theme’s universality. Dresses, made of a patchwork of colours and reminiscent of Tinkerbell .
Dresses, a one-shoulder gown, with pleated silk covered with asia calligraphy and watercolours like sexuel obsession.
The freedom to love and a timeless story, a theme that he considers as the big subject of the history of humanity.

JULIEN FOURNIÉ PARIS 2016

JULIEN FOURNIÉ CANALJulien Fournié had converted the Oratoire du Louvre into a vessel to present us the Spring-Summer 2016 collection.

On a fictional shore the couturier presented an elegant collection with print on white linen representing tropical flowers. Fournié has chosen the palette of oceanic rainforest fruits and blossoms as colors for this collection.

On the catwalk the models looked like those actress of the 1960’s and 1970’s with lioned head like Farrah Fawcett in the Charlie’s Angels. They were wearing denim pieces on their tropical island.

Jacquards and 3D embroidery also made this fashion statement contemporary. As usual it was a stunning and standing ovation.
