INDIA FASHION WEEK SOON

India-Fashion-WeekIndia Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2017 and Autumn-Winter 2017, in association with Maybelline New York will be held in October 2016 and March 2017, respectively, by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The most expected designers will present at the fashion week.

The Spring-Summer 2017 edition will be held from October 12-16, 2016 in New Delhi and will celebrate ‘India Modern’, without losing focus of tradition and paying homage to handlooms and textiles. According to FDCI, the Autumn Winter 2017 edition will be held from March 15-19, 2017 in New Delhi will show the transition between modernity and tradition. RAFRaf Simons is relief. He has just been appointed as new creativ director of Calvin Klein and will start on August 2: strange, the date of birth of Jorge Rafaél Videla.

Anyway, the Calvin Klein-Raf Simons thriller finally has an ending. After months of rumors and waiting, the Belgian designer will enter the U.S. company headquartered on 7th Avenue in New York.

Calvin Klein is undergoing a big transformation and will receive a troop of new designers to replace the old team, which was abruptly dismissed just a few days before the arrival of Raf Simons as he wants to revamp the brand. Continue reading

The singer, who is already a brand ambassador for the French fashion house, has already been spotted sporting a pair from the futuristic-inspired collection which she promptly shared on her Instagram account this week.

CHIURI, THE NEW BUTTER FOR DIOR

GraziaChiuri2Dior has confirmed, what we announced a few weeks ago, the appointment of Maria Grazia Chiuri as the new creative director for Dior.

To have the creative eyes of a woman at Dior’s is vital” said Sydney Toledano. “We talked a lot about women today, and how women will change the world. She really has a fantastic understanding and an international experience.”

Starting next week, Chiuri will run women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear and accessory collections. Her first collection with the French label will be launched in Spring 2017 ready-to-wear, which is set to show on September 30. Her first couture collection with Dior will be in January, kicking off the brand’s 70th anniversary. Continue reading
