A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

Julien Fournié Couture Fashion Show in Paris Fall Winter 2014 collection

Julien Fournié

“Tell me what you wear and I will tell you who you are » could be the name of the 2015 Spring/Summer Julien Fournié show. Influenced by China and the 1950’s, the collection is glamour and revealed a feminine and beautiful woman which will make you dream  of her and for whom you would like to write and who will make you happy.

I love this yellow and black accented with a necklace of black as a provocation. I love this deep neckline and simply open up the desecration that lets me see the beauty and the promise of a soft and warm night.

I love simplicity in sophistication. I love beautiful. I like what is simple.

We love you Julien. Continue reading

SORBIER THE GIANT

SORBIERNobody knows how to take us for a long memory trip, except Franck Sorbier. Shame on people who left before the show started. Yes, the show was one hour late, but what a show. It was a real choc and I will never regret to have stayed.

Franck Sorbier’s GIANTS re-interpreted the long travel of Gulliver. The carpediem realistic vision makes us travel in another world. Didier Grumbach can you imagine how we are small in front of this monument. May we advise you to reconsider how the Fashion shows should be. The power of imagination, the power of creation are the print  for the next 100 generations.

Franck Sorbier, you are the GIANT of the Haute Couture and today, you have no real competitors.

Come and pay your place to the Sorbier Foundation to discover the magic land of Continue reading

CHLOE GLAMOUR ATTITUDE CHIC

The soft and relaxed attitude of the Chloe woman has a touch of untamed for the label’s Fall-Winter 2014 collection presented during Paris Fashion Week. The creative director, Clare Waight Keller, sent out the house’s signatures – a parade of easy, tomboyish separates for the Autumn season in a mix of neutrals and pastels.

However, the look is emboldened with luxe multi-colored furs and ruffle embellishments for a sense of surprise in the Chloe woman’s wardrobe.

Elsewhere, dresses and skirts are decorated with raised geometric gold emblems while funnel neckline jackets bring a sporty mood.

chloe3The story was, once again, about texture, with some intriguing double-faced wools. Although this designer, who cut her fashion teeth on knitting, might have extended Chloé’s knit repertoire. Ms. Waight Keller is getting a freer sense of the Chloé style, and that is to be applauded.

HERMES

Mini and maxi
lengths at the Hermès’ catwalk in Paris, with full, straight and tapered shapes, the protagonist of the Hitchcock film, Rebecca, with her duality, her mystery, and her past-era elegance, inspires a feminine and an extremely French women. Christophe Lemaire wants Fall to be a cozy and a luxurious xxx.

The Hermès collection offers rich and warm coats wrapping the body. Beautifully draped and cut coats were key here—done in variations of robe-like silhouettes, collar-less throw-ons, relaxed military jackets and tons of belted fur vests.

His color palette was restrained, almost to the point of austerity. Which made moments like a printed dress and shearling vest especially welcome. There was a lot to like

(and importantly, wear) in this line-up, but as a whole, it was very subdued. It was luxe, luxe, luxe. Think: an entire suit made from sheered fur. The wonder was Continue reading
