Dior gives to Haute Couture a whole new meaning, with a couture runway show set to the Hong Kong skyline. The Spring/Summer 2014 Haute Couture season gets a replay; creative heads decided that the couture show would be presented again for those who missed the January runway in Paris. The show was held at an exquisite and breathtaking infrastructure known as the West Kowloon Heliport venue. On the top floor, the scene was all white, but once the show started the sheet dramatically fell from the windows and exposed the night city view. Guests included socialites, like Fanny Shieh who properly dressed in Dior for the event and Miss Vietnam, Mai Phuong Thuy who were front row at the show.
This collection by Raf Simons was exquisite; clean lines and texture gave the garments a modern feel, while a simple color palette, including white, blush, black, navy blue and pewter screamed classic Dior. The collections standout pieces include: the circle skirt and oh so proper sleeveless crop, the Bar Jacket and impeccable textured high-low frocks.
