
Among the most striking pieces is the life-size costume of Choupette, the famous cream and blue Burmese cat, worn by Jared Leto at the Met Gala 2023, a tribute to the designer who died in 2019.
The exhibition also features extracts from the brand’s latest campaigns, as well as Karl Ikonik fragrances. An artistic installation, made up of shirts and collars fashioned from hanji, the traditional Korean paper, hangs on one wall, concealing a real piece of home among the replicas.
With over 200 points of sale around the world, including his own boutiques and high-end partnerships, Karl Lagerfeld continues to expand his footprint. After establishing itself in Paris, London, Dubai and Shanghai, the brand is now opening up to a new audience in South Korea, with an ambitious post-mortem development strategy.
